Job Description

Kobre & Kim is accepting applications for the Analyst position with an anticipated start date of June 20, 2023 for the following office locations: New York, Miami, San Francisco, Washington DC, Hong Kong, Shanghai, London, São Paulo and Tel Aviv. The expected start date is June 20, 2023 for all hired analysts with the potential for an August or September 2023 start date for select hires as a result of a later graduation date and/or work authorization reasons. Work authorization is required for employment in the hired office location. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is accepted for U.S. offices. Please refer to the Kobre & Kim web page for more information and instructions on how to submit your application at https://kobrekim.com/careers/the-analyst-program/.

The Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates or young professionals to gain substantive, hands-on experience in the dynamic fields of complex civil and criminal financial litigation. Analysts immediately join case teams and closely collaborate with the firm’s lawyers, enjoying levels of responsibility and client contact surpassing what other law firms offer. Analysts also support knowledge management and global business development to drive the firm’s practice and product innovation forward.

General duties include factual and financial analysis; legal and open-source research; preparation of court papers; document review and analysis; substantive factual drafting; overseeing case team workflow and project management; and attendance in court or client meetings under lawyer supervision.

Analysts work with lawyers and other professionals across all Kobre & Kim locations including, but not limited to, our offices in New York, Delaware, Miami, San Francisco, São Paulo, Washington DC, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, Dubai, London and Tel Aviv. All Analysts have opportunities for advancement after their first year, including transitioning to management roles, specializing in practice areas and/or potentially transferring to other offices worldwide. Compensation is highly competitive with top-tier global consulting firms and local markets.

Job Qualifications

Analysts are typically top-ranked graduates from prestigious colleges and universities around the world. Candidates should possess a four-year college degree, a strong academic background, and excellent writing, research, teamwork and communication skills. We strongly encourage applications from self-confident, highly motivated individuals who display a broad range of academic and extracurricular interests. Interest in exploring financial markets and pursuing a career in law is welcomed but not necessary. All majors including STEM, finance, social sciences and liberal arts should apply. Additional language skills that can be used in a business setting — Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish — are not required but strongly encouraged. Analysts are expected to remain with the firm for a minimum of two years.
